List of Sledge Hammer! episodes |
"Vertical" is the 28th episode of the television series Sledge Hammer! and the fifth episode of the series' second and final season. It originally aired on ABC in the United States on October 19, 1987. The episode is a parody of the 1958 Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo.[1]
Hammer is assigned to protect a woman named Angelica Delmonte (Deborah Harmon), but his fear of heights prevents him from saving her from being thrown off a lighthouse by a hitman (Al Israel). Days later, while at a bar, Hammer discovers that Angelica is indeed alive - having faked her death and disguising herself as a waitress.
